Analysis of effective indicators in the historical structure of contemporary cities with passive defense approach (Case study: historical context of Khoy city)

Abstract
Historic and worn-out structures are more exposed to threats and dangers than other urban structures due
to non-observance of engineering systems, inefficient communication network, lack of urban facilities and
equipment, and non-observance of passive defense principles. Therefore, indicators with a passive defense
approach should be developed to determine the degree of stability of the structure of historical contexts.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effective indicators in the historical structure of
contemporary cities with a passive defense approach. The type of research is applied and the research
method is descriptive-analytical and information collection has been done through library-field, field and
questionnaire studies. 10 criteria and 25 indicators were selected and analyzed using ANP method. The
results show that the criteria of proportional distribution of population-absorbing uses, physical strength of
texture, privacy of hazardous centers, composition of urban texture and efficiency of road network with
scores of 0.109, 0.189, 0.122, 0.12 and 0.106, respectively, in the first zone of influence in historical textures
Neighborhood and adaptation indicators, required spaces for relief, access to relief and treatment centers
and safe spaces with a score of 0.088, 0.085, 0.078 and 0.065 in the second zone of impact on historical
contexts and the compression system index with a score of 0.038 in the zone Third are the effects on
historical contexts, and at the end, suggestions were made to improve the security and safety of Khoy's
historical context.
